We have some new classes coming soon:

— Eleanor Burns has a new book – All Star Quilts.  This is a feathered star center surrounded by smaller stars and the result is stunning.  Betsy will teach this class, it will be a multi-day class and there will be homework.  Don’t let this quilt scare you.  Eleanor is the queen of easier techniques and Betsy is a pro at implementing them.  Check our calendar or give the store a call.

— This class will be lots of FUN – it is called Quilty Fun and is a row quilt.  It is a seven month class, classes will be once a month. It will be a continual class so you can start any month you like.  Each class will give you techniques to make two rows.  Yes, there will be homework.  This a really cute quilt and a great way to use lots and lots of scraps.  How cool is that!  We will begin this quilt this summer.  Sound like fun, give the store a call.

— Fractured Bargello Jacket.  This is a beautiful jacket.  Rows are separated by a small “flap” or “flange” to give it that extra pizzazz.  Wow.  Keep an eye on the calendar or give the store a call.  Class taught by Connie.

— Beginning Quilting.  This is offered throughout the year.  We are now using the Alex Anderson book for this class.  Great class if you haven’t been quilting long, want to improve your skill or have never quilted (it is recommend that you know how to sew a little/use your sewing machine.  If you need a class on your machine we do offer one-on-one classes.  Call for more info and price).  This is a 6-week class, yes there is homework but you will make blocks using various techniques, learn the importance of color value, sashing, borders, quilting, binding.  Check the calendar or give us a call for dates.

— Advanced Paper Piecing.  Connie will take you from beginner to ready to tackle any paper/foundation pieced project!  If you would like to have a beginning paper piecing class, give us a call and we will schedule one.   Paper piecing is very accurate and gives you nice crisp points and makes complicated blocks much easier.
